'A NIGHT WITH THE TREES' IMMERSIVE STORY AND SONG GIG WITH NICK PYNN AND XANTHE GRESHAM-KNIGHT
​28th NOVEMBER AT THE OLD MARKET, HOVE

Kate has teamed up with storyteller Xanthe Gresham-Knight throughout 2024, writing a song a month to celebrate the trees of the Druidic Ogham calendar. This song cycle is being recorded currently by Kate and Nick, and will be performed alongside storyteller Xanthe's myths and legends on trees, goddesses and healing plants. This is part of The Old Market's 'In the Box' Festival and will feature surrounding beautiful visuals of trees. Beanbags or chairs are available for the audience.

TWO COMMUNITY MUSIC PROJECTS:
Kate has written a new song with Nick Pynn and Newhaven community music groups, to be performed at a new winter festival, 'Harbour Lights', on 24th November.
A singing workshop and afternoon lantern making workshop is followed by a musical procession by the River Ouse.

And.....
Following Kate's musical collaboration with Ignite Theatre for their productions of 'A Grandmother's Grimm' and 'James and The Giant Peach', she will be writing a new soundtrack, and recording it with Nick Pynn, to be performed in Meeching Hall throughout December. Tickets will be on sale here

Kate continues to write and record production music for film, TV and theatre. She is currently writing and recording a new album, 'Trees', in a collaboration with Nick Pynn, for release at the end of 2024.
​
In 2018 Kate appeared in an independent film called 'I Made This For You', written and directed by Cristian Solimeno. It is a very moving story around a group of friends trying to prevent their friend committing suicide. Channel 4 has supported the film and the BBC have also given coverage to this beautiful film.
